Dad here, last year Gena and Zoe ran a 5K together.

This year Gena did it solo and Dad and Zoe just watched.
The weather was great today, sunny and in the low 50s. Gena's goal was to finish the race in 30 minutes; she finished in 31:19.
Either way this is actually more impressive than doing it in 37 minutes while pregnant last year. Last year Gena still had time to work out every day, that's pretty hard to do now. So with relatively little training she really improved her time. Dad and Zoe were very proud!
Other Updates:
-we're loving spring! We've used the stroller more in the past week than we have since last fall. We've enjoyed a few family walks around the neighborhood and look forward to doing more.
-We went out with a sitter for only the second time. Gena took me out to dinner for my birthday and Kari babysat. She was only here for long enough to put Zoe to bed but the fact that she could do that makes us very comfortable with her and Zoe really loves her. Perhaps we can talk Kari into sitting for us again soon!
-Zoe's not crawling yet but she is doing the "sausage roll" all over the place. The thought of her crawling is both exciting and scary.
